If you loike historical novels, you may like this. I do read Susanna Kearsley, so it's not to say that I don't read this genre, I just prefer Susan Wiggs other books.

Good reading and well written
Great book,I enjoy Susan Wiggs stories!!
Characters are well portrayed, but because of the times and the distances that had to be covered it was perhaps too slow-moving.
I had never read a historical romance before Susan Wiggs. I love them! The action, the drama, the romance, and some interesting history besides. A winning combination when Susan Wiggs writes them. I leave the housework to sneak in extra reading time for these. They are such fun!
I prefer Susan Wiggs Lakeside books. Nonetheless, she is one of my most favorite authors and I will continue to buy her books
Disappointed to realize this was a reprint of a past book, just a new title. Thankfully I had not read this story yet. Not a fan of authors who reprint books under new titles.
First, I have to admit I am a total fan of Susan Wiggs writing! Her historicals have always been my favorites. This book does not disappoint The combination of history, damsel in distress - even if she doesn't know it - and a dashing hero, are all aligned for an absorbing, intriguing and plausible tale.
